IN SEARCH OF THE MILITANT CODE tells the story of journalist Tom Hasper who sets out to investigate a group of female hackers and graffiti artists in the 3D animated town ABADYL. They use the Internet as an electronic billboard and broadcast their tags on prime time TV. Their identity is unknown but Tom Hasper manages to trace them to an abandoned underground location.

INVESTIGATION The story is an outtake from a fictive, interactive story world, a visual collage of 3D animation and video. It is created as a piece of investigative journalism, a mix of pure fiction, theoretical views and facts sampled from www sources. A mockumentary set in a mediated reality, a narrative using form elements from contemporary media.

From the article IN SEARCH OF THE MILITANT CODE :
"The air around me reeks of syntetic rubber, of gray metal. My eyes filled with black, absolute shadowless blackness, as if covered with a tight, smooth plastic blindfold; I imagine this is how silicon implanted under your skin feels like.
Silence like in sound-proof cell. No identifiable sounds. No wheezing drain-pipes, no humming electrical appliances. Nothing.
After this mental note of all information my senses are able to gather from the surroundings, I can relax and rest. And reflect over the fact that my mental "mapping" ability seems intact."
